When the world is moving towards better life and health, reaching out in space and creating technologically advance devices and moving towards the feature and in India people are still struggling for the basic needs like water and electricity for everyone, did it occur to anyone as to why this disparity?
Lets introspect, geographically speaking India has 3.287 million km² area which is the 7th largest country in the world by area, lets talk about minerals found in India:
- Iron-ore: India is ranked third in Iron ore production.
- Bauxite: India is the fifth largest producer of Bauxite in the world. Bauxite is the ore of aluminium.
- Mica: India is one of the largest mica-producing countries of the world. India is ranked first in sheet mica production.
- Coal: Coal is unevenly distributed in India. India is one of the principal producers of coal in the world.
India is the world’s largest producer of many fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, major spices, selects fibrous crops such as jute, etc. India is the second largest producer of wheat and rice, the world’s major food staples. India is the world’s second or third largest producer of several dry fruits, agriculture-based textile raw materials, roots and tuber crops, pulses, farmed fish, eggs, coconut, sugarcane and numerous vegetables. With this kind data we can conclude that India has abundant of minerals, vegetables, etc. lets talk about electricity, we have large coal deposits, so many hydro projects and solar, we cant have shortage of that also. India is exporting many things so it cant be the shortage of money or foreign currency. So still the question arises as to why Indians are struggling for basic necessity?
India has all the resources but still not enough or say not enough for everyone ? Yes, the point is everything is there but not enough for everyone, population of India is the root cause for all the issues, if t imagine Indian population is half of what it is now, don’t you think Indian citizens can have everything ? every Indian will have land for themselves, there will ample of job opportunities for everyone, there wont any water crises, etc. There are many examples which proves this theory, few years back UK has stopped and changed the rules for HSMP as UK government had done the survey and came to know that whatever services they are providing to UK citizens has a limitation and can only be provided if the total population is below the certain threshold value and this is one of the reason why UK opt out of Euro (this would allow the free immigration between all the European countries and UK). Many people purposed a theory of reducing the population of earth to make earth a better place, which are made into books and movies like Inferno, Kingsman to name the few.
What is Indian citizens contribution to all this, just giving burden on Mother India and government and then blaming them for not providing necessary services to citizens. I must point out that system a combination of citizens + government and government consists of approx 10% of entire population and people is the remaining 90% can these 90% do their contribution to make India a better place. In 80’s Indian government given a slogan “Ham do Hamare do” that time it was OK to have two kids but now the population is explode but now is the time to revisit it so I urge ever citizen to have only one kid so that you can leave something for the next generations else all the resources will be utilized and there won’t be anything left for them.
I do understand that there are people who don’t want second kid but due to parental pressure they have to go for it. Let me tell you that they have a reason to tell you guys to have more kids as they have seen it in their time that children use to die because of Plague, Pneumonia, Leprosy, etc but now is not the case. If don’t believe just ask them and also check how many siblings your parents have and how many died at young age. I do believe that youngsters are sensible enough to understand the current situation and take a decision which good for their next generation.
